Glo Dollar reduces extreme poverty

We donate all the revenue we earn from Glo Dollar to GiveDirectly, creating basic incomes for people in extreme poverty.

In the long-run, we expect that every $20,000 of Glo Dollar in circulation will create life-changing basic income for one person. A $20 billion market cap (~15% of current stablecoin market share) will lift one million people out of extreme poverty every year.

At scale, each dollar donated to the Glo Foundation may generate up to 10 dollars for GiveDirectly

Our research shows that at scale, a stablecoin can generate $3-$10 of revenue for every $1 spent on operations. 

At that point, a dollar donated to Glo Foundation will create $3-$10 of revenue for GiveDirectly. We’ll be lifting hundreds of thousands of people out of poverty every year.

How to donate to the Glo Foundation

• Giveth. You can donate to the Glo Foundation on Giveth using crypto. Donations are often eligible for additional matching, too.

Donations will help Glo reach its High Impact phase by funding our team’s pursuit of:

1. Partnerships. We're collaborating with developers to integrate Glo Dollar into their ecosystems and expand the range of ways people can use Glo Dollars in their daily lives—see examples of such partnerships.
2. Business development. We’re working with DAOs and Foundations to diversify their treasury and allocate a portion to Glo Dollars.
3. Marketing. We need to raise awareness for Glo Dollar and our mission to end extreme poverty. 

When we focus our energy on these initiatives, we'll speed up our market cap growth and will generate more revenue from Glo Dollar to fund programs that lift individuals out of extreme poverty.
