Why we need early adopters

Please note; Glo is currently in alpha stage. While Glo is in alpha, all of Glo’s reserve assets will be held in cash. We are building the capacity to invest in Treasury Bills as well, which will enable us to generate interest, which we will then donate to GiveDirectly to fight extreme poverty. We will update this page.

Why? 

When all our operations are in place, buying Glo will of course have immediate impact—with each $18,000 lifting one individual above poverty. At the very start though, we won’t yet be making donations to GiveDirectly.

But you also help us promote the cause in an early stage, thereby increasing the pool of Glo holders that we'll be able to reach. So there’s two reasons:

• Immediate impact (Direct): You help lift someone out of poverty.
• Compound impact (Indirect): You help get Glo from zero to one.

What does it mean to become an early adopter?

• We’ll proudly list you on our website. If you like, you can become a private sponsor, of course.
• We’ll let you know when you can buy Glo.
